About

chillbill is a San Francisco house and tech house DJ and festival thrower. He learned to mix in a Tahoe cabin in December 2017, and a month later he and his friends threw the first Polar Palooza as a renegade in Big Sur.

He has played Great Northern, Public Works, 1015 Folsom and the Midway, the main stage at Northern Nights, and his way through Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil and Mexico.

He loves a back to back: Sammy Legs / Boiz House, Boys Noize for Dita Von Teese aboard Friendship, and a Burning Man prank set with Toefood billed as the greatest set on playa.

chillbill lives by the philosophy of the great Carl Cox: the goal of any good DJ is to create as many memories on the dancefloor as possible by always playing the song that meets the moment.

A DJ your event team doesn't have to manage

chillbill is Billy Chartain, playing house, tech house and whatever the room needs. He shows up self-contained, sound checks before doors, and ends on time.

What you get

  • A self-contained rig. Pioneer XDJ-RX3 and QSC sound. It plugs into your AV with one stereo feed, or it is the AV.
  • Your program, honored. Must-plays and do-not-plays collected in advance, clean edits unless you say otherwise.
  • A mic that works. Wired and wireless, checked before doors, for toasts and announcements.
  • No surprises on volume. Your call, the venue's call, followed on the spot.
  • Paperwork your AP team expects. Itemized quote, agreement, invoice and W-9, turned around the same day.

How booking works

  1. Send the date, venue, hours, guest count and whether there is house AV.
  2. You get one flat quote the same day. The deposit holds the date.
  3. A week out, a short advance call with your AV contact.
  4. Day of, load-in an hour early and a sound check before doors.
